Iulian Trandafir, President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Distributors and Retailers (ADRFR):  Ensuring patients' access to medicines is the mission of distribution teams and pharmacies

Bucharest, April 16, 2020. The Romanian Association of Pharmaceutical Distributors and Retailers (A.D.R.F.R.) assures the authorities and patients that its members take all steps to facilitate access to the necessary medication in the shortest time and the best conditions of safety and comfort.

The teams involved in the distribution activity and the pharmacies are in the front line against COVID-19, together with the entire medical staff, being often the first health specialists to whom patients go. We are honored by their constant trust while being fully aware of our responsibility during this period. Also, these days we pay special attention to our staff safety, the protection measures in all the units operated by our members being increased Iulian Trandafir, President of A.D.R.F.R. stated.

Iulian Trandafir took over the mandate of President of A.D.R.F.R. at the beginning of this year when he joined the management team of the Association and Anca Babeș who will act as Executive Director.

"I am honored to assume responsibility of this mission in a strong Association, which is the representative of an industry with history, that aims to ensure Romanian patients access to medicines on which their good health depends," Anca Babeș, the new Executive Director of ADRFR noted.

With professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry for over 23 years, Iulian Trandafir serves as CEO of Alliance Healthcare Romania since 2012, operating within the same company as of 1997. Iulian graduated from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, where he studied Technology Systems Management and attended Executive MBA courses at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, USA. 

Anca Babeș has over 12 years of experience in Public Affairs, accumulated in national and international projects. Before joining the Association, Anca was part of the team of consultants of Grayling Romania and Point Public Affairs where she specialized in the pharmaceutical and health sector. She holds a master’s degree in International Business Law earned at Queen Mary, University of London, and graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi.
